Mae Haad Beach is one of the island's most popular beaches and understandbly so. It offers it's visitors a white sand beach, a good varied choice of accommodation and a central location not far from shopping and night life.
Where to eat
Numerous sea food restaurants offer freshly grilled barbeque and Mae Haad Center's many western restaurants offering everything from Pizza to Indian Food is but 5 minutes away.
Where to go out
There are several excellent venues on close by. Whitening is a nice lounge bar and restaurant but also Dragon Bar in Mae Haad Center is a cool place to hang out. Sea Monkey in Mae Haad Square tops of the venus for night birds with good music and pool.
Where to Stay
 Several places come highly recommended and you can really find something for almost every budget. Prices start at around 600 THB per night for basic accommodation.
Highly recommended and book-able is Sensi Paradise Resort in the low to high range (they really have something for everybody) + Royal Resort and Charm Churee Villa in the medium to high range.

What If I don't book ahead...
That's fine! But be prepared to spend half a day searching in the scorching sun being pestered by touts, taxi drivers, stray dogs while still ending up not getting what you want...
