 Chalok Baan Kao is located on the southernmost tip of Koh Tao. It faces Ang Thong Marine Park, which was made famous by the movie that starred Leonardo Di Caprio. It's one of the most popular beach on Koh Tao, and understably so. It's simply beautiful.
Due to it's location, the bay of Chalok Baan Kao is sheltered from wind and waves throughout most of the year. It's very shallow, the beach sloping down very gently towards deeper water. Perfect for families with children.
Where to eat
There are a large selection of restaurants in Chalok Baan Kao. Worth trying out is Kudeta and Tropicana Restaurant. Numerous laid back beach bars also offer plenty of choice for a good look of the sunset.

There are several resorts in Chalok Baan Kao, however, only two offers online booking: Tropicana Resort and Koh Tao Cottage.
